Lokaratna Dr. Kunja Bihari Dash strode across many spheres like acolossus- academics, research and criticism, folkloristics, creative literature (poetry, travelogue,biography, auto-biography, poetic drams, belle letters, short stories andnovels)and committed social activism (establishing school and hospital for the poor and the neglected). He has received prestigious awards from Central Sahitya Academy and Indian Folklore Association( the honorific Lokaratna). As an academician he was associated with in several reputed institutes which includes Viswabharati, Shantiniketan and Revenshaw college,Cuttack and Indiana University, USA,
